SpaceBar

Welcome to the new SpaceBar, sponsored by Viasat.

At the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, AstroAgency stepped up to provide the thriving UK space community with an accessible networking and knowledge-sharing forum. Since then, the community has grown enormously, and we’re thrilled to be launching our new format show, allowing us to showcase the latest space launches, advancements in space technology, developments in sustainability, and STEM resources, alongside fun and lively conversations on life in space, AI, and favourite science fiction movies and books! Each session is hosted by Dallas Campbell and Dr. Suzie Imber, with fantastic guests.

The new format includes an hour-long show, available to watch on your computer, laptop, tablet or phone and, for the first time, available on your television via the YouTube app on your streaming device of choice! The community will be able to chat throughout the event, ask our guests questions, and submit video questions too! Our community will really be able to drive the conversation, and we’ll be able to bring these topics to live like never before. Each show will be followed by an Aftershow Party on Zoom where the conversation can continue, and you’ll have a chance to discuss the show and meet the guests!

Since its launch in April 2020, AstroAgency’s SpaceBar has received award nominations, started its own merchandise line with proceeds going to geospatial charity OceanMind and boasts large numbers of participants, peaking at well over 300 when British Astronaut Tim Peake, Kevin Fong and the UK Space Agency CEO joined regular hosts Dallas Campbell and Dr. Suzie Imber for our year anniversary. SpaceBar upholds AstroAgency’s values of community collaboration, knowledge exchange, responsiveness and diversity, whilst reinforcing the idea that not all space innovation needs to be technical!

We proudly continue to support Ocean Mind with all profits from SpaceBar merchandise going towards this great cause. To grab your own SpaceBar swag, visit Space Store.

Stay tuned and keep an eye on our social media channels for the 2024 SpaceBar schedule!
